Why Exit Bags Exist

Exit bags were created to solve a compliance gap. In some states, the law says cannabis must leave the dispensary in child-resistant packaging. But not every producer wants to package their flower in a CR mylar bag. Some use standard pouches because they're cheaper or because the CR zipper is hard for some customers to open. The exit bag is the workaround. The dispensary drops the non-CR package into a CR bag at the counter, and the customer walks out compliant.

For dispensaries, exit bags are a cost of doing business. You buy them in volume, you stack them behind the counter, and every customer gets one. The bags we make are resealable, so the customer can reuse them. That's better for the environment and better for the dispensary's costs.

For producers, exit bags matter because they tell you something about your market. If your state requires exit bags at point of sale, you have flexibility on your primary packaging. You can use a non-CR mylar and let the dispensary handle compliance. But some dispensaries hate that. They want to hand the customer a product that's already CR so they don't have to use their exit bag stock. Know what your retail partners prefer before you order.

The most common exit bag is a 4.5 x 6.5 inch CR resealable pouch with a warning label printed on it. Some states require specific warning text. We print to your state's spec. We also do custom-branded exit bags for dispensaries that want their logo on the bag instead of a generic warning.
