The Gram Bag Has a Specific Job
One gram bags exist for two reasons: samples and singles. When a dispensary wants to let customers try a strain, the gram is the format. When a brand sells single pre-rolls, the gram bag is the package. It's not a bulk format. It's a try-before-you-buy format or a convenience purchase.
At this size, you don't need a lot of material. But you need the right material. We use the same multi-layer metalized film in our gram bags as we do in our ounce bags. The barrier is identical. Your sample gram stays as fresh as your ounce because the film doesn't know the difference.

Even at 1g, without proper barrier the flower will dry out and lose terpene profile within days. The small format makes cost-per-unit extremely sensitive, but dropping below 3.5 mil removes meaningful barrier protection.
