What Health Canada requires.

The Cannabis Regulations set specific packaging and labelling requirements for all licensed producers in Canada. There's no ambiguity here. If you're selling cannabis in the legal Canadian market, your packaging has to meet every one of these or you're not compliant.

Plain Packaging

One brand element. One colour. No metallic, fluorescent, or pearl finishes. No texture beyond the base material. No cut-outs, no peel-backs, no interactive elements. The package itself can't appeal to young people. This is the most restrictive packaging regime in North America.

The Standardized Cannabis Symbol

A red octagon with a black cannabis leaf and the letters THC. Required on all packaging containing cannabis. The symbol must be at least 1.2 cm wide and placed on the principal display surface. We print it directly on the bag, the tube, the jar, or the label.

Bilingual Labelling

All required information must appear in both English and French. That includes the brand name, THC/CBD content, health warning messages, and the standardized symbol. We handle bilingual artwork and layout as part of the quote.

Child-Resistant and Tamper-Evident

All cannabis packaging in Canada must be child-resistant and tamper-evident. Our CR closures meet 16 CFR 1700.20 and are tested under CPSC protocol. Tamper-evident options include heat-seal tear strips and breakable seals.
