Three Materials, Three Different Jobs
Plastic tubes are the workhorse. Polypropylene, child resistant, cheap, and recyclable. Most pre-roll brands use plastic because it's practical. It protects the pre-roll, it's CR certified, and it doesn't break when dropped. The downside is it feels disposable, which some premium brands don't want.
Glass tubes are the premium option. They feel expensive. They look expensive. They're also fragile and heavier, which increases shipping costs. If your pre-roll is a $15 product, glass might not make sense. If it's a $25 craft pre-roll, glass tells the customer they're getting something special.
Paper tubes are the eco option. Kraft cardboard with a metalized inner liner. They're biodegradable, they're lightweight, and they have a natural look that appeals to sustainability-focused brands. The barrier isn't as good as plastic or glass, but for a product that sells within a week, it's fine.
Sizes and Fit
90mm fits shorts and standard pre-rolls. 98mm fits most commercial pre-rolls. 109mm fits longer rolls. 116mm fits king-size. The inner diameter is 16mm across all sizes, which is industry standard.
For CR compliance, plastic and glass tubes use the squeeze-and-pop mechanism. Paper tubes use a push-down-and-twist cap. All three are 1700.20 certified. We provide documentation.
Shrink sleeves are where your brand lives. A full 360-degree printed sleeve wraps the tube and gives you a billboard that's visible from every angle. We print on PVC, PET, and OPS film. Perforated tear tabs make it easy to open. The sleeve also doubles as tamper evidence. One piece, two functions.

Pre-roll tubes protect fragile paper and ground flower from crushing and oxidation. PP tubes allow oxygen permeation (1600+ OTR) that degrades terpenes over time.
