The Product

Non-stick Child-resistant

Dab containers built for concentrates. Non-stick liners, terpene-safe materials, and sizes that match your product. Live resin and shatter have different needs. We know the difference.

Built for cannabis. Made factory-direct.

Non-Stick Is Non-Negotiable

If you've ever tried to scrape shatter out of a standard plastic container, you know why non-stick matters. You lose product. The concentrate sticks to the walls. The customer gets frustrated. The solution is a non-stick liner, and there are two options.

Silicone liners work for most concentrates. They're flexible, they release product cleanly, and they're cheap. The downside is that silicone can absorb terpenes over time. For live resin and high-terpene extracts, that's a problem. You lose flavor.

Parchment liners are the alternative. They don't absorb terpenes. They release shatter and batter cleanly. They're single-use, which means the customer gets a fresh liner every time. For premium live resin, parchment is the right call. For commercial shatter, silicone is fine.

Sizes and Formats

5ml jars are the standard for a gram of concentrate. 9ml jars hold a gram with more headspace, which some brands prefer for visual presentation. We also do 3ml for half-gram samples and 15ml for two-gram portions.

The material is polystyrene or glass. Polystyrene is clear, cheap, and works for most products. Glass is premium and works for high-end rosin brands. The liner is separate from the jar. You can mix and match.

For CR compliance, concentrate jars use a push-down-and-turn lid mechanism. Same as medicine bottles. It's certified and it works. The lid sits on the jar, not the liner, so the CR function isn't affected by which liner you choose.

Lids come in black, white, and custom colors. We can match your brand. The jar itself is usually clear or frosted. Your label goes on the side. At this size, the label is small, so keep it simple. Logo, strain, THC content. That's enough.

Product Knowledge

Is This the Right Packaging for Your Product?

Glass concentrate jars (dab containers) in 5ml and 9ml sizes are designed specifically for cannabis concentrates including live resin, rosin, shatter, wax, budder, and sauce. These jars use the same food-grade borosilicate or soda-lime glass construction as flower jars but in a compact format with non-stick PTFE/FEP liners and certified child-resistant push-and-turn lids. The small format is critical because concentrates contain highly aggressive terpenes that act as natural solvents. Glass is entirely inert and will never leach chemicals or absorb these terpenes, making it the ideal material for concentrate storage. The PTFE/FEP non-stick liners prevent sticky concentrates from adhering to the container surface, allowing clean product release. For live resin and rosin specifically, the airtight seal provided by the glass-to-lid interface is essential to preserve the delicate terpene profile that defines these premium products. The 5ml jar typically holds 0.5-0.75g while the 9ml accommodates gram-plus quantities.

Ideal For

  • ✓ Live resin
  • ✓ Rosin
  • ✓ Shatter
  • ✓ Wax
  • ✓ Budder
  • ✓ Sauce

Not Ideal For

  • ✕ Bulk flower storage (too small)
  • ✕ Liquid extracts requiring dropper bottles

Material Specifications

ConstructionFood-grade Borosilicate or Soda-Lime Glass with PTFE/FEP non-stick liners; PP push-and-turn CR lids with PE or PTFE inner liners
Thickness60 to 100+ mil wall thickness (compact thick-wall construction for drop resistance)
Oxygen Barrier (OTR)0 cc/m2/day (absolute zero through glass walls)
Moisture Barrier (MVTR)0 g/m2/day (absolute zero through glass walls)
Light ProtectionVaries by color: clear provides none; black/opaque provides 100%; amber provides UV filtering
Odor BarrierComplete - glass is entirely inert; PTFE/FEP liner resists aggressive terpene solvents without degradation

Concentrates contain aggressive terpenes that act as natural solvents and can degrade plastic containers over time. Glass is the only material that provides absolute zero OTR/MVTR while remaining chemically inert to terpenes. Without proper barrier, terpenes degrade and the concentrate loses potency and flavor profile.

Why Factory Direct?

Factory-direct sourcing eliminates 30-50% broker markup. The PTFE/FEP non-stick liners and CR lids are specialized components where broker markup is especially high.

Questions

Everything you need to know.

Silicone or parchment liner for live resin?
Parchment. Silicone absorbs terpenes over time and live resin is all about the terps. Parchment is single-use and doesn't absorb anything. For commercial shatter, silicone is fine and cheaper.
What size jar holds a gram of batter?
5ml works for a gram of most consistencies. If your batter is particularly airy or you want more visual headspace, go 9ml. A gram of solid shatter fits a 3ml, but 5ml gives you room to work.
Can concentrate jars be child resistant?
Yes. We use a push-down-and-turn lid that's 1700.20 certified. The mechanism is in the lid, not the jar or liner. Your liner choice doesn't affect CR compliance.
Do you offer glass concentrate jars?
Yes. Glass is the premium option for rosin and live resin brands. It's heavier and costs more but the perceived value is higher. We stock 5ml and 9ml glass with the same CR lid options.
What materials are concentrate jars dab containers made from?
Food-grade Borosilicate or Soda-Lime Glass with PTFE/FEP non-stick liners; PP push-and-turn CR lids with PE or PTFE inner liners. Concentrates contain aggressive terpenes that act as natural solvents and can degrade plastic containers over time. Glass is the only material that provides absolute zero OTR/MVTR while remaining chemically inert to terpenes. What products are concentrate jars dab containers best for?
Live resin, Rosin, Shatter, Wax, Budder, Sauce.

Is concentrate jars dab containers child-resistant certified?
ASTM Type I (Continuous Thread) - push-and-turn PP cap passes 16 CFR 1700.20 protocols
Are concentrate jars dab containers FDA compliant?
Food-grade glass and PTFE/FEP liners meet FDA food-contact standards
Do concentrate jars dab containers meet Health Canada requirements?
Compliant with plain packaging and child-resistant container requirements
